INFINITI offers four distinct trim levels--Pure, Luxe, Sport and Essential--based on a common drivetrain and transmission combination found throughout the lineup. In all, a responsive 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine producing 208 horsepower and 258 foot-pounds of torque is mated to a paddle-shifted 7-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is an option for the QX30 Luxe and Essential.
Standard features are plentiful no matter which trim level is selected. All trims ride on 18-inch aluminum wheels except for the Sport, which features 19-inchers. Automatic on/off halogen headlights shine on the Pure and Luxe, while adaptive LEDs light the way for Sport and Essential. All QX30 trims come with forward emergency braking, dual-zone automatic climate control with rear seat vents, power locks with automatic lock feature, 4-way power driver lumbar, Bluetooth handsfree phone system, power and heated side mirrors, INFINITI InTouch 7-inch vehicle information display and auto-dimming rearview mirror.
Stepping into the Luxe trim level, all-wheel drive now becomes available, along with interior upgrades like leatherette and textile seating, 8-way power-adjusted and heated front seats, a leather-appointed stitched dash insert and a panoramic moonroof.
Sport trim levels lacking an all-wheel drive option do, on the flipside, remove nearly 200 pounds from the overall weight of the vehicle. Combine this with almost a full inch lower ride height, sport-tuned suspension and more aggressive run-flat Michelin performance tires, and the Sport becomes an entirely different machine. It also includes 19-inch wheels, unique front and rear fascia styling, sport seats with suede fabric and a flat-bottom race-style steering wheel.
Essential trim builds on the Luxe features and adds a Bose 10-speaker sound system, Nappa leather-appointed seating, a blind-spot warning and rain-sensing headlights.
Most available extras for the QX30 are trim-specific. The Pure and Luxe models are left alone, while the Essential can be fitted with numerous optional features like 19-inch wheels, a dark wood interior and a Technology package that unlocks a number of advanced safety features like lane departure warning, intelligent cruise control and High Beam Assist.

The 2019 INFINITI QX30 returns this year with a few changes. Trim names have been updated to Pure, Luxe, Sport, and Essential, while forward emergency braking is now standard.
The QX30 is INFINITI's entry-level SUV, designed in conjunction with Daimler to compete in the red-hot crossover market. Given INFINITI's collaboration with Daimler, the QX30 exists on a shared chassis and drivetrain platform with its twin, the Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class. That, however, is where the similarities seem to end. INFINITI has gone to great lengths to differentiate the QX30 externally by adjusting nearly every aspect of the suspension, bushings, springs, ride height and brake-pedal feel. With competition like the BMW X1, Audi Q3 and MINI Countryman, it's no wonder INFINITI went to great lengths to get the most from the QX30. The INFINITI easily holds its own in the class with a very attractive base price around $30,000 for an entry-level QX30 and about $40,000 for a loaded-up Sport model with premium features like InTouch Navigation, a moonroof and Bose audio system.
